The configuration files can be backed up from Genboard in several ways:
- Terminal: While connected to Genboard through the terminal, issue the 'Manmcd' command. Genboard will send the raw configuration file to the terminal. It is then the user's job to copy and paste the output to a text file and save the contents to the computer's hard drive. After this is complete, issue the 'Manmct' command in the terminal, then copy and paste the output to a text file and save it to the computer's hard drive. When using this method, it is recommended to name the files config.txt for the output of 'Manmcd' and tables.txt for the output of 'Manmct'.
- MegaTune Package Scripts: Execute the script named 'download-config.bat' from the MegaTune install directory. The default name for this directory is VemsMT1.0.XX, where 'XX' is the revision number. The config files (config.txt and tables.txt) will be stored in the VemsMT1.0.XX/config directory.
- MegaTune MSQ Files: AFter changing Genboard parameters via MegaTune, it is recommended to save your progress so a record of changes can be made. The parameters shown in MegaTune will be stored in a file named with the date and time of the save. The extension on these files is '.msq'. These files are NOT compatible between MegaTune versions.
