We would like to install vems to this Lexus 3S-GE BEAMS engine.
Cam timing (inlet and exhaust) should be easy with VEMS.
Some info: http://www.vems.hu/files/MembersPage/LasseHansen/3S-GE_Wiring_Diagram%20(1).pdf page8 suggests 3 pulse cam, 36-2 or similar
The Lexus we've seen so far were either 36-2 (eg MembersPage/LexusVvti ) or 36-2-2-2 , both are supported (with camsync and camshaft control of course, both camshafts).
Just
- find out if sensors are HALL or VR
- order ECU
- capture and publish triggerlogs (cranking 8-10 sec with ignition and injection disabled)
- this will confirm the assumed 36-2, and measure tooth recommendation can be made
- and install like any engine with camshaft-angle control.
Nothing special is expected.
