Hello Vsc,

Your "firmware info" screenshot shows the ecu is in running state with serial number corrupted, was this taken before or after failing to upload with screenshot "vems error2" ? This points in direction of corrupted bootloader.

Please get back to me with your original order details and full name so we can trace your order and provide you with the bootloader recovery options.

Best regards, Dave

I thought that also now conected to home pc with native com port, every time I try to upload firmware ecu comunication cuts of.

Hello Vsc,

That's strange so far everything seems to point in the direction of a communication problem, i suspect you are using an usb to serial converter, perhaps using a Prolific chipset ? Those are known to cause problems.

To get you moving in the right direction i would advise the following:

1) try another usb to serial convertor preferably one of FTDI chipset (genuine)
2) use another laptop with fresh vemstune install and oem rs232 port, not using usb to serial convertor.

Please report back with detailed report of steps taken and what happened. Without sufficient comprehension of the operations due to insufficient provided details, its very hard for me to diagnose what might be causing it. Thanks!

Best regards, Dave

Hello Vsc,

I have attached a screenshot of the firmware upload dialog on my side with the options you should select for device, version and type, see "firmware_upload_dialog_1238.png".

After you have selected the options matching this, press the "OK" button.

Best regards, Dave

Hello Vsc,

The screenshot "vems error.png" shows you are using the firmware upgrade wizard, i recommended usage of the "firmware upload" dialog; firmware upload will upload firmware only first and only attempt config upload after the ecu is has a running application.

Best regards, Dave

Hello Vsc,

According to my initial review of your case, the ecu is stuck in bootloader mode due to a partial (or interrupted) firmware upload.

On the "boot mode detected" dialog, press the "stay" button, than proceed to tools->firmware->firmware upload and in the following dialog select firmware 1.2.38 from the drop down and re-upload.

After firmware upload has been completed and config is uploaded your ecu should be in normal operation like before; make sure to review your configuration fully, there are many changes between 1.2.31 and 1.2.38.

Please report back if the operation was successful or otherwise report where it failed so we can diagnose.

Best regards, Dave
