Order items from: [webshop]
Automatic payments
The order is completed after the payment: do not forget to return to the shop when the payment is done: click to "Finalize Order" / "Return to shopping" button. The final order is created at this point (without this step, it will be harder for the shop crew to track your ordered items)
- Visa / Mastercard Credit/debit card AVAILABLE NOW. Clearly the best option below 200 USD
- the card is charged in USD, which means less conversion costs (because of how VISA works) and effectively slightly less charge drawn than if drawn in display currency (eg. SEK)
- note the +1.8% surcharge for transaction cost (choose IBAN for large value)
- for USA customers, will be available only later in 2006, sorry.
- if you have a special discount, or selected "check/money order" for other reason, but want to pay with card, a link similar to https://payments.verisign.com/payflowlink?LOGIN=acmvus&PARTNER=VeriSign&TYPE=S&AMOUNT=876&COMMENT1=OID666 can be used. The shop crew will help adjust the link, because AMOUNT must be in USD currency (the example is for 876 USD payment). To make payment routing easier, OID666 should be updated to the actual order-ID, preferrably the order-ID of the largest value order if paying several orders with the same transaction (in this case, subtract the packaging cost for all but one order).
- "ikobo"
- "moneybooker"
- "paypal" As the last step BEFORE checkout with email transfer (paypal, moneybookers) change the shop-display currency (bottom-right corner) to the first in the list USD, EURO, GBP, CAD that you have account (with sufficient balance). Otherwise (eg. if you only have sufficient balance in the YEN pocket) choose USD. This way paypal charges the possible minimum for currency exchange (it seems that appr. 1..3% hidden in rates).
Ikobo/moneybooker/paypal are referred to as "internet" payment (or email payment).
"Manual" payments => "Check / money order option"
Order can be checked out with "no payment" at the moment; Payment is usually bank transfer. See the "wire transfer matrix" below.
- Wire transfer/IBAN/BIC/Swift. The most preferred payment method, since it's the safest, best cost (except for the smallest purchases below 40 Euro total value where card is best). It works worldwide. Basically the only option for distributors who get serious discount.
- prefer to transfer in your native currency if one of AUD,CAD,CHF,CZK,DKK,EUR,GBP,HUF,JPY,NOK,NZD,SEK,SKK,USD. This saves you from commission and fee hidden in exchange rates: transferring EURO has no advantage compared to above currencies
- only the most frequently used currencies can be chosen in the shop for display, but you can convert to any other currency using mid-exchange rate from [supported currencies and uptodate exchange rates of Hungarian National Bank]. For example 100 Euro would be 100 * Eurovalue / Sekvalue = 100 * 264.81 / 28.38 = 933 SEK (old exchangerate, but you get the idea)
IBAN / Swift / BIC / wire transfer destination
USA customers and EU companies with EU-VAT-ID should transfer to XDSL Ltd Hungary. Other customers should transfer to ACMV LLC USA.. Destination accounts:

Ask about them - if there is a good reason...
- "Check" (USA only)
- "Money order" not well tested. Not recommended in USA
- barter (sw, hw, firmware developers, doc contributors)
Several orders (eg. your orders, or yours and your friend's) can be paid with 1 transfer.
You are welcome to write payment info (as a reply to the checkout or state-change email from "x-store") to help linking payment and order info (especially if the payment comes from your friend, or several orders paid together). Linking payment to order is normally smooth using name, country, value, date, orderid, etc... data.
Choose Assembled controller first - with the options you need, of course
The assembled controller usually takes 3..6 working days to customize to your options (and test, package). Here is how you can get all your items ASAP, and still have more time to fine-tune the other items/quantities.
- Try to define the necessary options for the assembled controller as early as possible, and post it as an order
- preferrably include EC36-wire and EC18-wire or EC36-harness and EC18-harness
- preferrably write "Order of small parts will follow in 5 days" in the order note, so the shop crew will pack it together (should the assembled controller be completed before your new order is fired, they wait).
- You'll need a second order for the other parts, but you can subtract the 5 Euro P/P cost from the second order. With automated payment like paypal (that does not let you control the transfer value), write a few items (of appr. 3..7 Euro value, like 3 pieces of 2pin injector connectors) in the order note (so you don't pay for those)
This only applies to the assembled controller, not to bare genboard. Note that even resellers buy assembled controllers these days, except in rare cases of (usually problematic anyway) plug-n-play installs.
Payment destination/method matrix
Depends on the location of customer, and order value (note that value overlaps between neighboring lines).
USA customers
Value (USD) | Invoice issuer (payment destination) |
6..990 | email to XDSL Ltd |
700..99999 | IBAN/wire to XDSL Ltd |
EU customers
It depends if the customer company has EU-VAT-ID (individuals never have). EU companies should provide their EU-VAT-ID. The EU-VAT-ID starts with the 2 letter country code like SE or FI: [verify EU-VAT-ID here]
Value (EURO) | individual,or company without EU-VAT-ID | company with EU-VAT-ID |
6..300 | card/email to ACMV LLC | IBAN/email to XDSL Ltd |
200..99999 | IBAN to ACMV LLC | IBAN to XDSL Ltd |
Hungary - though in EU, Hungary is special
- card/email/wire transfer to ACMV LLC is possible.
- domestic bank transfer to XDSL Ltd: invoice includes +20% VAT, which must be paid
- cash or money order possible, write your wish in order note
Elsewhere (not USA, not EU). Note that Canada belongs to this category
Value (USD) | payment destination/invoice issuer |
6..900 | card/email to ACMV LLC |
100..99999 | IBAN to ACMV LLC or XDSL Ltd |
Globalization - Import tax
Sometimes packs are sent (split to max 2kg mails) from Hungary to US.
We don't know a case when import tax had to be paid. To make it smoother:
- we write no value on the pack
- even invoice is not included in the pack at all if you request that way. There was a case in Hungary=>Rumania where the Rumanian customs officer checked the pack and found the invoice, which had cost 100 Euro "inconvenience". Would have been 0 had the invoice been sent in separate mail. There has never been a similar case for any other destination (US/Canada/NZ/Norway/Turkey/..., and of course not for EU)
- pack addressed in handwriting (not printed)
- "electronic sample for evaluation" (or similar) is written on the pack if requested
The normal way to do it is use split purchase value:
- low value for HW
- and most of the value assigned to license

The common charge for international IBAN transfers (even within EU) was appr. 10 Euro (actually illegally), now usually 1 Euro (even 0 for some banks and account-type). If you know about misbehaving banks that still charge a lot, you can write here so others can easily avoid it

- WideBand connector (GenBoard/Manual/WBSensorConnection) with crimped long (appr. 2m, >6 feet) silicone insulation wires is an option

WebShop/BackLog page for requests for completing shipment when the primary shipping is done before all parts are available (everything is stocked for a long time now).
Note that the webshop email and contact is for shipping/pricing/billing. Use the wiki (see MembersPage) for technical issues. It saves you and the support crew a huge amount of time (more exactly, email wastes a huge amout of time, by splitting the details of the case to several messages and hiding the current status). In the best case, technical issues sent in email will be answered with delay.
