Order items from: [webshop]
"Check / money order" option means "no payment at the time of order checkout", so it can be anything:
- "Wire transfer/IBAN/BIC/Swift" recommended - safest, reasonable cost, and works worldwide
- "Check" (US only)
- "Money order" not well tested. Not recommended in US.
- "ikobo"
- "moneybooker"
- "paypal"
- "Decide later"
- barter (sw, hw, firmware developers, doc contributors)
We'll provide recipient info on request when you've decided on preferred payment option.
You can transfer in any currency (no need to pay commission for currency exchange) if you calculate using mid-exchange rate from [rates of www.mnb.hu bank] - mid exchange rates of your bank is likely within 1%. For example 100 Euro would be 100 * Eurovalue / Sekvalue = 100 * 251.04 / 26.4 = 950 SEK (at this time).
Several orders (eg. your orders, or yours and your friend's) can be paid with 1 transfer.
You are welcome to write payment info (as a reply to the checkout or state-change email from "x-store") to help linking payment and order info (especially if the payment comes from your friend, or more than one order paid together). Linking payment to order is normally smooth using name, country, value, date, etc... data.
Choose Assembled controller first - with the options you need, of course
The assembled controller usually takes 3..6 working days to customize to your options (and test, package). Here is how you can get all your items ASAP, and still have more time to fine-tune the other items/quantities.
- Try to define the necessary options for the assembled controller as early as possible, and post it as an order
- preferrably include EC36-wire and EC18-wire or EC36-harness and EC18-harness
- preferrably write "Order of small parts will follow in 5 days" in the order note, so the shop crew will pack it together (should the assembled controller be completed before your new order is fired, they wait).
- You'll need a second order for the other parts, but you can subtract the 5 Euro P/P cost from the second order. With automated payment like paypal (that does not let you control the transfer value), write a few items (of appr. 3..7 Euro value, like 3 pieces of 2pin injector connectors) in the order note (so you don't pay for those)
This only applies to the assembled controller, not to bare genboard. Note that even resellers buy assembled controllers these days, except in rare cases of (usually problematic anyway) plug-n-play installs.
Wire transfer matrix
Note: wire transfer is only one (however, nice) option of the available payment methods. Choose by "check/money order" option in webshop.
The wire-transfer destination, according to the table below, depends on
- the location of customer
- and in case of EU, also depends if the customer company has EU-VAT-ID (individuals never have). EU customers are encouraged to provide valid Company EU-VAT-ID. The EU-VAT-ID starts with the 2 letter country code like SE or FI: [verify EU-VAT-ID here]
- Any company can use controller computer parts (or computer or computer parts) invoices to decrease tax. Small companies are usually happy about it (even with the slight administration overhead: they might want to transfer from the company bank account)
- Hint: EU-VAT-ID is independent from the shipping address, we only check if the EU-VAT-ID is valid at all, and the country, not the company name
Customer location | individual,or company without EU-VAT-ID | company with EU-VAT-ID |
USA | XDSL Ltd | - |
EU | ACMV LLC; max $100 to XDSL Ltd, but add +15% for invoice incl. VAT | XDSL Ltd or ACMV LLC |
elsewhere | XDSL Ltd or ACMV LLC | - |
"or" means either is allowed, but the bold is preferred (cheaper, faster).
IBAN/Swift/BIC transfer to XDSL Ltd.
EU customers who transfer to XDSL Ltd either
- must _provide_ a valid EU-VAT-ID - read the hint above
- or pay extra +15% for VAT. This is not an option above $100 or 80 EURO or 750 SEK (see ACMV LLC below). Invoice will include 20% VAT. (there are savings on the recipient side so you get a 5% discount in the net value, therefore you need to add less than +20%). For small sums the +15% is cheaper than transfer costs to ACMV LLC (ask the banks, why :-).
For individuals and companies without EU-VAT-ID, transfer to the ACMV LLC (USA) account, see below.
Non-EU customers (USA, Norway, Australia, etc... basically, most of the world) are welcome to pay via transfer to XDSL Ltd.\n
IBAN ("wire transfer" / SWIFT / BIC) recipient: XDSL Ltd HUNGARY Recipient Address : 1091 Budapest, Hurok u 7. HUNGARY Bank Account Number: IBAN: HU35 10300002-20112639-00003285 (swift: MKKB HU HB) EU-VAT-ID: HU12467116 Contact tel: +36 70 2 654 789
as you verify on http://www.x-dsl.hu/en/contact.html
Wire transfer to ACMV LLC, USA (not IBAN)
Warning: USA customers (either individual or company) MUST NOT transfer to ACMV LLC, USA! For USA customers (either individual or company) the only option for wire transfer is XDSL Ltd Hungary (see above)
This is currently the only wire-transfer option for EU individuals and EU companies without EU-VAT-ID.
- US Bank Account for ACMV, LLC
- Bank Name: TD Banknorth
- bank Address 111 Main Street
- Burlington, VT 05401
- Routing Number: 011600033 (= BIC = Bank Id Code: FW011600033 )
- Account Number: 5241170068
IBAN codes are not used (the above receipent details is all, and sufficient). This costs a few extra bucks for EU individuals (vs. IBAN that has finally become really cheap), but (for higher value, above $100) less than the +20% VAT they would need to pay with transfer to XDSL Ltd Hungary.
EU companies with EU-VAT-ID, and companies/individuals located elsewhere (not in EU and not in USA) can choose between (transferring to, and getting invoice from) ACMV LLC USA or XDSL Ltd Hungary. However, because of the IBAN bank account, XDSL Ltd Hungary is a better choice (transfer costs less and faster).
For your convenience, we are working on
- credit card processing so anyone (or any company, with debit-card or credit-card) can pay to ACMV LLC directly (currently only possible indirectly, through ikobo.com, moneybookers.com or paypal.com )
- IBAN account (inside EU) for ACMV LLC USA
Globalization - Import tax
Sometimes packs are sent (split to max 2kg mails) from Hungary to US.
We don't know a case when import tax had to be paid. To make it smoother:
- we write no value on the pack
- even invoice is not included in the pack at all if you request that way. There was a case in Hungary=>Rumania where the Rumanian customs officer checked the pack and found the invoice, which had cost 100 Euro "inconvenience". Would have been 0 had the invoice been sent in separate mail. There has never been a similar case for any other destination (US/Canada/NZ/Norway/Turkey/..., and of course not for EU)
- pack addressed in handwriting (not printed)
- "electronic sample for evaluation" (or similar) is written on the pack if requested
The normal way to do it is use split purchase value:
- low value for HW
- and most of the value assigned to license

- banks in EU are starting to behave. The common charge for international IBAN transfers (even within EU) was appr. 10 Euro (actually illegally), now usually 1 Euro (even 0 for some banks and account-type). If you know about misbehaving banks that still charge a lot, you can write here so others can easily avoid it
- ..
- price of several items was slightly decreased. Especially:
- USB-RS232 adapter (high-speed capable plc2303 type, works with windows or linux, only 19 Euro !) Ask for custom price if Q > 9.
- green-black LCD. Blue LCD (that displays white text) is also available now.
- 2,3 and 5-pin sealed-sensor [connectors]. 3-pin "injector connector" (which is C-type junior-power-timer in fact, most often used for VR sensor) is available now. Boots are included with 2 and 3-pin connectors (of both type).
- WideBand connector (GenBoard/Manual/WBSensorConnection) with crimped long (appr. 2m, >6 feet) silicone insulation wires is an option
- improvement of the supply chain and changes in Euro/USD exchange rate => prices further decreased (mainly LSU4 and connector).
- VEMS stickers available in several colors (normal and metallic colors too)
WebShop/BackLog page for requests for completing shipment when the primary shipping is done before all parts are available (everything is stocked for a long time now).
Note that the webshop email and contact is for shipping/pricing/billing. Use the wiki (see MembersPage) for technical issues. It saves you and the support crew a huge amount of time (more exactly, email wastes a huge amout of time, by splitting the details of the case to several messages and hiding the current status). In the best case, technical issues sent in email will be answered with delay.
