I have huge problems about primary trigger. Please help.
I installed several vems v3 but this is new for me.
Car has only one crankshaft sensor (VR) on flywheel with 60-2 wheel. Running on Wasted spark.
The VR sensor has 3 pin. (OE number 9622209880)
Signal
GND
Shield
Double check polarity.
The sensor has 330ohm.
The signal in trigger log is great. Looks everything good. The car started with some trigger error but running.
After 10 sec the engine stall with trigger error (less PR trig).
Then never ever comes any trigger spike or something in the trigger log. RPM signal gone.
I have another vems ecu too. Changed them. Same. Car starts running few sec and shut down.
Then no signal ever.
Seems both ecu trigger dead.
Read and follow the basic instructions. Including GenBoard/Manual/GroundConnections
http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=GenBoard%2FManual%2FGroundConnections
Removed R30
New sensor installed
Still same
Any suggestion to measure? Thanks
Finally the p259 replacement solved the problem. Almost certainly not following the basic instructions => GND problem => killed p259 chip earlier.
- Instructions must be followed
- Harness problem can kill several ECU-s so best to follow instructions (the GND instructions are red on the paper sent with the ECU) before attempting to plug in other ECU
