There is an unused engine in Hungary after MembersPage/MarcellGal/EngineSwap project
Marcell is thinking of donating the
- 4 cylinder engine
- related harness
- several ECM-s
Big projects:
- engine - fuel injected
- engine - with ECM controlled carburettor (WideBand feedback of course)
- water-brake dyno (see ChassisDyno, but built to the crank, with maybe clutch maintained, but without gearbox and definitely no wheels)
- table-tests (eg. logging factory ECM)
There is significant amount of related
- research
- firmware (microcontroller) programming (C or asm)
- GUI programming
- monitoring and log-analysis (also programming)
In general, this way students can learn about
- programming
- control theory
- engines
with much more motivation and fun than if they were just assigned dull programming tasks without seeing anything move.
Additional benefits:
- learning English
- working together in project-teams
- using tools like wiki and maybe ofbiz.org
