Thanks for fast support Marcell.

Ignition coils

Been using theese type o coils for several years so wiring is absolutely OK.

Write wiring details. Where is the fuse exactly ?

Don't consern about the 4 wires going onto it, only using the two that goes directly to coil.

Reason for using theese coils is that we need more spark than stock coil can produce when boosting over 230KPA

'using 15A fuse to coil, fuse Xplodes at approx 3000 RPM

  • apparently fuse blown at 4500 RPM in the log

output testing on coil is OK, and it runs fine without overheating in low rpm, no prob at all.

We have been using theese coils before on vems, no probs earlier.

We have mounted new coils 3 times now, so it is not the coils that are broken/the reason.

Seems like box is outputting much more coil chargetime than it should.

Normally we just chage 2.5 ms static. visual output of dwelltime in vemstune is max 2.8 ms, which should be no prob. !.

Software bug/ wrong setup ? - for us it seems like vems is outputting a crazy omount of dwell in high rpms

End of rev'ing is where fuse burns.

The dwell setting (1.0 msec) and extremely high dwellmap (74) are most likely bad. Actually vemstune warns about them ! (see the validate function).

Also warns about the sectrig HALL-dirac: disable it (although that should not be a problem as sectrig is disabled).
