For Petroleum this is expressed as.... req_fuel = D / N * 0.0012 / 14.7 / 0.755 / I * 60000 and gives us the familiar req_fuel = 6.49 * D / N / I
For E85 this is expressed as.... req_fuel = D / N * 0.0012 / 9.32 / 0.79 / I * 60000 and gives us req_fuel = 9.78 * D / N / I
