I plan to order a complete ecu with DBW setup, and then get it running as a complete replacement ecu for a Forester XT year 2004-2007 ,and Impreza WRX/STI 2005-2007
both models runs the same setup Ej255 or ej257, 2,5ltr turbo with avcs on both inlet cams (Left cam 4-1 hall is also 2nd trigger)right cam 4-1 Hall
Primary is VR 36-2-2-2 And they both runs DBW throttle
Do any of you have this running with DBW and avcs ?
- Follow [ETC help] for DBW. In firmware it is independent, it does no interfere with VVTI / AVCS / Vanos (if the bridgeoutput driver signal is not routed in a way to cause trigger interference, of course, eg. in close proximity without shielding...).
- If using ETC, injector PWM-ing should NOT be configured, so use high-Z injectors or 3.3 Ohm 50W series power resistors with low-Z injectors. (so active flyback is not recommended in case of ETC/DBW, although it would not cause problem, just useless and confusing if PWM is not configured anyway)
I have plugin VEMS ecus for version 5/6 Impreza both EU and STI
we have now almost the new prototype full pnp my99/00 Impreza Euro/JDM/STI VEMS ready, and it is featuring the full treat, of options.
enjoy the pics
I´m now going to mount a Vems on a Subaru Legacy turbo 92´, it´s running the same trigger system as the Impreza

I would like to know if anyone have had the engine running with the oe trigger setup, without modification to the trigger wheels.
and if not do You think it can be succesfull, or is it not going to work?,
Meaning do i have to modify the wheels?
Thanks,
Skassa
Looking forward to comparing notes on this - I have a big power 2.3 Impreza to tune next year [dnb]
