Anyone know of someone running this trigger setup, and got it working?
and if not do you thinkit can run, the Audi trigger setup.
Here is a subaru turbo fuel system manual, with all explaning.

I´m now going to mount a Vems on a Subaru Legacy turbo 92´, it´s running the same trigger system as the Impreza

I would like to know if anyone have had the engine running with the oe trigger setup, without modification to the trigger wheels.
and if not do You think it can be succesfull, or is it not going to work?,
Meaning do i have to modify the wheels?
Thanks,
Skassa
Looking forward to comparing notes on this - I have a big power 2.3 Impreza to tune next year [dnb]
I would like to use the knocksensor, and i have already wired it in,but i cant get any reading,
how can i make one of the gauges in megatune to show noise?
So i can define what noise is knock
DO anyone know how a gauge en megatune, can be configered to show the noise it reads from the knocksensor?.If any of you are familer with the LINK Knocklink, you know what i mean,as this shows noise on five leds, and when running full trottle maybe 2 leds will light, but if you get knock, they all fire up , with a big red one in the top,
This have got to be the part that are missing,so the knocksensing can be of great use
Send me a PM/email on the VEMS UK forum and I'll send you my VEMS_v3.ini file - I have added some extra parameters to make knock logging easier. Something like the knocklink, but with more LEDs...
I'm also working on a way to make tuning the knock more straight forward... More on this later when I know it works! [dnb]
when i make a datalog, and wiew the log, megatune is 2-3 degees of in advance is this normal?.
Also if i in the sparktable ,write 16degree , then the advance gauge is only showing 14degrees, check knock_default_retard since knock_default_retard=08 this is correct.
I dont hope that it just retard this 2 degrees, without knock,Does it do that?
A Yes - knock_default_retard is a silly parameter that just offsets the whole ign table. I got caught out with this while back. [dnb]
there is also a big change in fuel, with inlet temp,
When i have the car in idle,it can go from lambda 0.9 at around 25iat degrees, to lambda 1.1 at 45 degrees,
After you tuned the WARM engine, adjust warmup enrichment, that is warmup_clt[]
Or ego needs to be alot more then 5procent, to make up for this.
ego rich limit at 5% is just fine once the VE table is properly tuned. It avoids a nasty positive feedback effect on rich misfire, so best left at 5% to 10%. (I note you said inlet temp, not coolant temp...)
I think your IAT problem is one of heatsoak - the sensor gets hot so it reads the engine temperature, not the air temperature so it leans out the fuel due to temperature much more than it should. There is a parameter to stop this happening but I don't remember exactly what it's called. Something like "fake airden low limit".
Also, the temperature sensor calibration may not be correct - worth testing this since it will induce a lambda error that is strongly correlated with temperature at all operating points. (Not good in a turbo car) [dnb]
