I have a new unassembled GenBoard that I havent got working at all yet.
Done so far:
Serial connection
Soldered EC36 and EC18, EC18-pins14&15 to MAX232
and EC18-pins14&15 to serial cable
Exact pin-pin end-end connections ? (obviously very important. Measure)
- DSUB9/2 ...
- DSUB9/3 ...
- DSUB9/5 ...
All (you mean FETs and IGBT-s ? or stepper too ?) necessary output drivers and lastly the inductor 1R5 (from the rescue kit).
Connected the board to a JimStim 1.3 (http://www.jbperf.com/JimStim/index.html) EC36-Pins5,21,22,26,32 to JimStim accordingly, EC36-Pin25 also to JimStim, serial GND to common ground point between GenBoard and JimStim.
At this point I tried to get first connection with GenBoard.
Tried several methods to connect but didn't get any answer.
- Exactly ?'
- baudrate, command ?
At least try these:
- 19200,8n1 'S' command
- 9600,8n1 'Man' command
- 9600,8n1 'S' command
Loopback tested my serial port successfully.
To be sure that board is powered I measured the MAX232 and the processors Vcc voltage which was high as 10volts.
10 Volts ?? compared to what ? It should be 5 Volt compared to ground.
It is measured, and tested (bootloader is uploaded via ISP, than several tests made via serial).
