Our current engine setup is as follows:
- 150cc briggs block, piston, crank, conrod
- custom head, cross flow valves driven by stock push rod cams
- custom port injection mount using Siemens Deka IV (22cc/min) control by hc08 megasquirt using speed-density
- stock butterfly valve tb
- no muffler, straight exhaust
- spark control by MSD small engine
- trigger is a hall effect sensor with a single magnet
- O2 sensor installed but never used
The 2008 engine is in development so these aren't set in stone:
- 50-70cc
- Sleeved 150cc briggs block
- Honda head
- port injection
- electronic throttle body
- fuel by VEMS using tps and O2 feedback
- spark by VEMS using at least 4-1 trigger wheel
Another option is re machining the head design, shrunken to the bore we use. (We have the CAD models). This would allow us to potentially use gasoline direct injection, if we can find a suitable injector.
