This UseCase describs the process of getting information useful for diagnosing technical problems from the ECU.
The UseCase starts when a Driver is asked by a Tuner or Installer to download diagnostic data to help fix a problem.
The Driver connects the computer and starts the software. They select get diagnostics from the utilities menu. The software asks them where to save the generated file.
The software queries the ECU for the following information:
- Firmware version.
- Hardware serial number.
- Firmware config.
- Firmware tables.
The software also stores the following inforation:
- Operating system type and version.
- Serial port type and speed.
- Software toolkit version.
- Software error log.
This information is saved into the selected text file, so it can be manually sent to the Tuner or Installer for analysis.
