Any ides why there is no spark?

Is there someone who can help Marius Helmersen in Norway or middel of Sweden, dealer, installer, retailer

Hello Peter/Marius,

I have reviewed your vemslog and triggerlog from box 16082 (linked above), from software side i see no reason for spark to be missing during cranking, ecu is scheduling sparks and executing them (according to triggerlog).

To get a better understanding of your situtation if have some questions:

1) In review of your coil output configuration it seems you are using active coils (VAG style COP or alike) wired to extra outputs on the breakout loom, does this match your hardware configuration ?

2) Was the spark test mode coil testing performed using box 16082 or box 3742?

If you can answer these Q's for me, we'll work from there. Thanks!

Best regards,

Dave

Thank you Dave

New info:13/9-2018

They did NOT see all coils firing in test mode but maybe only one.

They started to upload a 4 years old config to this new ecu.

Mattias Sayed that ign output is changed in the new "PCB" version PnP AAN.

Old AAN used 4 x stepper and one ign logic level. And new PCB version use 4 x ign logic level.

Can someone uploade a vems.hu oem config AAN pcb version (Dave, Marcell) so I can see what is up and down in this case.

Where do I find schematics for this "new" AAN pcb?

TNX

Peter

The correct order of installation/testing

Trigger voltage measurements

NEEDED: Config will be uploaded later.

Car is also tested using box AAN 3742 and the car is running perfect.

Please make some ESD precautions, and follow install steps (including notes of verifications/measurement). Apparently running into more issues recently (of different kinds, that are difficult to link/relate, perhaps ESD or supply spikes, or some handling could be the common denominator - the probability that it is just luck falls exponentially after every issue ) than 10 other shops combined.

p259 outputs - suspect if VR inputs do not work.
