My name is Paal, studying administration and economics in Bergen, Norway.


The goal

Apply a GenBoard/VerThree (V3.3) to my Polizei-golf's new engine.

The car is a VW Golf 2 currently running a G60 (PG) engine without the G60 charger (estimated output above 50 hp, but below 90 hp).

A fresh built 16v KR engine is the new one going in, which is a fine mixture of different Audi S2/4/6 parts etc.

It has a K24 turbo and WG bolted to a chopped S6 exhaust manifold. The intake is from an Audi S2 shortened to 4cyl with a S2 throttlebody and TPS sensor.

The injectors will be 440cc (high impedance) on a shortened S2 fuelrail and a 3,5 bar FPR.

Seat engine? dont know exactly the name of it, 60-2 trigger with hall, wheel inside the engine.

Emil: I assume I can use the OEM 60-2 wheel as a primary trigger with those trigsettings mentioned above. The parts have arrived but I have not mounted them yet, but I'm assuming its to position it properly according to TDC on the crank. If you have any more info about the Seat engine and trigsetup I would appreciate it! //Paal

Running a OEM 60-2 wheel and HALL sensor retrofitted on the crank housing (transmission side) (see http://www.golf1.info/forum/thread.php?threadid=14109&page=2#post151865 and [ELSAWIN screenshot here stating it is a HALL sensor])

  • Consists of Two (Three) parts:
  • 030103171L - approx 64,44 eur - sealing flange with sealing ring and impulse rotor (60-2 wheel and housing)
  • 030906433Q - approx 41,02 eur - HALL speed sensor \\Paal
  • Wiring schematics at ELSA (AXU engine) also supports this being Hall-sensor, pin#1 is +5v supply. \\TeroK
  • Just of curiousity: How did you see that pin1 is +5v from the diagram in ELSA? \\Paal
  • It's not hard to figure it out, since same wire (ro/gn) goes to G40 pin#1 (which we know is Hall), and EGR-potentiometer pin#2 (reference voltage). \\TeroK
  • 030103647E - approx 25,00 eur - Steel plate to cover those both

After advice from MembersPage/SteinOvePrestmo the idea is to run wasted spark ign using a OEM VAG 60-2 wheel + HALL sensor and perhaps a 034-efi coil (http://www.034motorsport.com/product_info.php?products_id=40).

Shopping list

I have just started the process of compiling and deciding the components for this build, and how to solve the wasted spark set up.

Ideally this setup should consist of:

- Retrofitted OEM 60-2 wheel
  • OEM 60-2 wheel and HALL sensor is purchased but not mounted
- VAG sensors for AIT, water temp
  • 0 280 130 085 is a good choise afaik (VAG 058905379) \\Kalske
- TPS sensor from Audi S2
  • works ok, schematics: [1] \\Kalske
- No knock sensors
- WBO2
- EGT (welded somewhere in the DP)
  • I would put it before turbo
  • Might be tricky since its a cast iron manifold \\Paal
- 440cc high impedance injectors
  • Injectors from BahnBrenner has resurfaced and is on their way to Norway
- Idle stabilisation valve from G60 PG (solenoid, VAG part # 037 906 457 D)
