Is this trigger wheel (2 teeth on iron/steel disc)

- It's possible but VEMS inputtrigger circuit must be modified (you can order with that mod, just write in the order note), because the default VR circuit optimized for multitooth rises the sensitivity so high between two trigger events that it will read every metallic crap between them. Obviuosly higher cap value (such as 220nF => 220nF+1uF or 220nF + 2uF) at LM1815 pin7 does the trick (increases time-constant of the adaptive hysteresis peak detector used for arming threshold)
- MembersPage/JoelZernask has similar setup (pins and VR sensor), but on V8 w/4 pins. He had to modify it to work ok. Contact him and ask for details if needed ( zernask at hot dot ee ).
The Volvo sensor is most likely inductive, it measures 160 Ohms between two pins and one pin has no connection to the others (shield). I vote for Honeywell GT1 but this sensor is free (not my choice).
