Crysler Magnum 5.2L V8 engine wiring. Engine is running. (V8 has nice sound). Some texts are in Hungarian
ignition output - currently using 1 distributer
Ignition coil primary is connected between:
- EC36/36 ign coil-
- +12V
Fuse (BiztosÃték fontos!): 4-7.5A
Sensors
- primary trigger HALL (8 window on crank), EC36/27
- Nr of tooth on wheel: 16
- edge: falling, 50 degrees TDCdelay (verified with strobe)
- secondary trigger HALL (1 window on cam), EC36/13
- edge: falling
- internal MAP (csovel csatlakozik a MAP)
TPS sensor
- EC36/1 TPS signal (this was only wrong in the sent .xls or connected wrong ?)
- EC36/29 TPS +5V
- EC36/26 TPS ground (signal GND)
Stepper outputs
coil1: (resistance= ?)
- EC18/..
- EC18/..
coil2: (resistance= ?)
- EC18/..
- EC18/..
LCD - GenBoard/BuildProcedures/LCDconnect
- DSUB9 / 5 is GND.
- verify that the header pin it is connected is 0 Ohm to EC36/26 (rádugás ELŐTT ellenőrizni, hogy a EC36/26-ra fog menni)
Install initial steps
- download http://www.vems.hu/download/v3gui/
- vemstune 2010-04-28 (not 2009-10-02)
- if things don't go smooth, we'll need to try different version, but let's start with this
- install RS232 driver. if pl2303 than prolific.com.tw
- even if it was COM4 it might change when USB cable inserted into other USB port (see windows device manager, com ports = eszközkezelo)
- http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?ID=31
- [Cable\PL-2303\Drivers - Generic\Windows\allinone\PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller_v1210.zip v1210driver.zip]
- TerminalProgram - to verify RS232
- [Bray-terminal] is very good (hyperterm is very bad) but any could work.
- 9600,8,n,1 (flow control: off) Choose comm port, Connect, Type "Man mdv mdV mci" as an experiment
- even if these
- start VemsTune
- set serial port (might need to restart vemstune)
- take note of the firmware version (firmware info)
- Tools / firmware / upload firmware 1.1.75 (non-PS2). (because firmware 1.1.27 somehow misfired for the slightest noise on testbench)
- download this [initial config]
- upload config (select the just downloaded file)
- reboot
- verify MAP (must be 101 kPa)
- MAP calibration: select MAP sensor range 104, 250, 304 or 416 (so MAP is close to 101)
- finetune MAP sensor offset (so MAP=101)
- verify TPS:
- from 0 .. max
- write down min and max TPS values
- verify that angular width of tooth is 180 (in the old vemstune that means 45 degrees, tooth_wheel_twidth1=B4)
