BMW M50 B25 Turbo
Early 2018 Purchased a Vems v3/15130 from Pieter, Vems V3 with lsu4.9, Sensors, and Wiring Harness and relays etc.
A friend mounted everything inside the car and connected it like it is shown on the Vems papers (electrician)
- please show the papers and updated notes related to this loom (often handwritten on printed paper, that is OK, please scan, or type; list form is preferred)
- and wired up already alot Vems ecus in several cars. Good, the notes + measurements of this very loom would be interesting in this case.

In my case its a 1985 BMW E30 with a m50b25 Turbo Engine... (just for info)
April 2018 Pieter came to his Garage for the First Startup and Calibrate etc. Everything worked without any issues.
TODO:
- vemslog of running engine --> From that day i have none
- or at least vemscfg of working setup
Dyno Mapping was done 06/2018 and also worked pretty good with the ecu.
I Drove then for around 5000km with this ecu without any Problems.

Problems start
2019 Januar 2019 I changed the Cam setting from the Engine and built in a Water Meth injection.
Dyno Mapping was done also in Januar. worked again good so far. Misfiring at End of the day above 1.8 Bar Boost.

- wiring of the changes --> Nothing changed on the wiring. Its an extern Controller from the WMI
- vemslog and vemscfg of running engine of the now problematic setup
- vemslog or vemscfg saved after tuning, and saved after the problem experienced would be useful: perhaps there is some unintentional change
- rarely unintentional config change can be due to cosmic ray or similar, but if it happened repeatedly, other conditions are suspected; like new fw with old VemsTuneVersion or forgotten ini-update; or alternator overvoltage spikes, or wiring problem.
How do we know if it was good originally (just the problem didn't show up yet), or the problem was hiding for some time (and perhaps the first symptoms appearing right after the methanol install might be coincidence) - this can be tricky, need to review much detail (not much available so far, though), and review config with the setup + loom details known we really depend on useful info in MembersPage/MarcelBMW_M50B25_Turbo/Wiring
Tricky, because any wiring problem (or even some HV wire) might appear to cause problem after some time and possibly work for hundreds or thousands of hours before that;
- => so "it worked for some time" simply does not mean the setup was compliant ever (but maybe it was originally, and something turned bad later)
- if impossible to review (without the details), the saying "it worked" does in no way substitute the setup + wiring details and measurement and config that can be verified and attempted to reproduce.
Summary:
- worked fine
- After changes => problems.
- Let's see the exact HW, wiring and config changes, including the before/after state so we can review, reproduce and give hints.
- this is the only professional way to do things: collect the relevant info in a way it is possible to review, edit, add, extend, ...

ECU removed for the photo so we can see something.
Universal Harness is from Vems.
The wiring is always adapted for the actual install.

The firsr one is with the running mapped engine and no Problems.
The second log link is with the Problem.
But i switched the relays manual for this day.
