This engine will be running full sequential COP, so the relationship between crank and cam is important.

It is possible to run this engine in wasted spark using the COPs, and ignoring the cam sensor.

In order to do this, you need to configure ign_dualout (recompile is not needed any more).

This will allow you to fire two neighboring outputs (eg. ignch 7 and 6) at the same time. You may need to organize the outputs appropriately so they fire the correct coils.

The firing order of the engine is 1-5-3-6-2-4

degrees of rotation

0 - Fire 1 Inject 3

60 -

120 - Fire 5 Inject 6

180 -

240 - Fire 3 Inject 2

300 - Cam lobe goes low

360 - Fire 6 Inject 4

420 -

480 - Fire 2 Inject 1

540 -

600 - Fire 4 Inject 5

660 - Cam lobe goes high

720 -

Questions

1.Where can i set the ign_dualout bit? I didn't see it in the configs.

2. Relating to Cam sync

How does rotating the firing order effect the timing of the primary trigger? Is there a direction that is better to rotate?

For example - based on where my cam trigger is above

Firing order as is

1-5-3-6-2-4

Rotate 1 - Rising edge of the cam signal between 4 / 1

5-3-6-2-4-1

Rotate 2 - Falling edge of the cam signal between 3 / 6

2-4-1-5-3-6
