I'm Automotive Engineering student from Finland, and I'm developing four-cylinder BMW M10 2.0 '77 turbo engine as my engineering work.
Major principles in engine development are very good engine breathing and a sophisticated electronic engine management, and my goal is to get around 500hp from it.
Some information about engine construction:
- - Bore 90.0mm, stroke 80.0mm
- - Valves 46mm intake, 38mm exhaust
- - Head BMW E12 2.0 '78
- - Crank BMW Original forged steel, nitrided
- - Camshaft Dr.Schrick 304
- - 4x45mm Individual Throttle Bodies
- - Turbo most likely Garrett GT3582R dual ball bearing
- - Intercooler core size 600x300x75mm
Engine management, sensors etc:
- - GenBoard/VerThree V3.2
- - 8 injectors (four small in ITBs, 4 big (~900cc) in the end of velocity stacks), PowerFlyback
- - WastedSpark ignition, Bosch 0 221 503 407
- - Motorola MPXH6400 MAP-sensor (external, on firewall)
