I'm Automotive Engineering student from Finland.
I were developing four-cylinder BMW M10 2.0 '77 turbo engine as my engineering/diploma work, but I have changed my work to Honda D16Z6 SOHC-VTEC All-Motor project. Reasons for this are too high costs for a student, and I definately need a new (and ofcourse better and more powerfull) engine to my daily driver Civic.
I'm still gonna use GenBoard/VerThree in my Civic, and replace MegaSquirt I have on it right now.

D16Z6 Engine info
- Bore 75mm, stroke 90mm
- Honda PM7 high dome pistons, 12:1 compression ratio
- ARP head studs and rod bolts
- Supertech blacknitrided +0.5mm racing valves (30.5/26.5mm)
- Fidanza 3.2kg aluminum flywheel
- Crower Stage 3 race cam, Crower valvesprings and Ti-retainers
- 42mm ITB setup. Honda CBR954RR throttlebodies and injectors (hi-z), my own designed/made aluminum manifold. Intake total lenght 230mm.
- My own design 4-1 anti-reversion header, 2.5" exhaust.
BMW Engine plan, somewhere in future:
- Bore 90.0mm, stroke 80.0mm
- Valves 46mm intake, 38mm exhaust
- Cylinderhead BMW E12 2.0 '78
- Crank BMW Original forged steel, nitrided
- Camshaft Dr.Schrick 304 (Adv. duration 304 deg. lobe angle 108 deg. lift 10.7mm)
- 4x45mm Individual Throttle Bodies
- Suitable big turbocharger, Garrett GT3582R dual ball bearing unit looks very neat
- Intercooler core size 600x300x75mm
Engine management, sensors etc for BMW (I already have these, except the big injectors):
- GenBoard/VerThree V3.2, loaded with ~all I/O options
- 8 injectors (four small in ITBs, 4 big (~900cc) in the end of velocity stacks)?, GenBoard/Manual/PowerFlyback
- all 8 injectors connected to separate injector output channels, so sequence can be reconfigured from software ? (or some shared?)
- I was thinking to connect each of them to individual outputs. Not sure yet about the configuration. Full sequential adds complexity(CamTrigger), but would make life easier for GenBoard. My intention is that the first four, small ones, operate at low MAP/load/cruise, and big ones operate at under boost/WOT.
