3. Eibach pro springs
4. Custom mash
5. Removed all badges, rear window washer, tinted lights, antenna, etc
6. Custom SMS alarm system (SMS Commander) http://www.cardomain.com/ride/705337 http://daewoo-hr.com/forum/index.php?board=18.0
1. Opel engine c20xe

3. Opel engine mount absorber for kadett GSI
5. clutch set for c20xe
6. Opel Astra-G electrical hydraulic power steering
7. Daewoo Lanos Gearbox (D16)
8. Daewoo Lanos A/C komp
and everything else from Lanos
Everything Bolt on, except for A/C komp, have some mounts remaking.
Here is first resaults:
Then I was doing some headworks, and remaps, and decat, and custom exhaust, and powercap, and get to 172HP on MAHA dyno-brake.
Then I get my hands on wizards of NOS, SB150i4 nitrous kit:
And made my custom NOS progressive controller:

And got some nice resaults on 1/4 mile (13.97s):

But still going N/A, and still got works to do:
1. custom exhaust manifold
2. custom inlet manifold
3. cams
4. stand alone after market ECU
So, I'm going VEMS... ;)
My car is equipped with LPG injection kit. So it's Bifuel...
That's why I'm going VEMS, to cover all the future coming modifications and have one ECU for everything... NOS, LPG, bifuel, ITB or custom inlet manifold, cams, etc...
Now I have to get as much information as possible, how to start VEMS conversion...
I have a few main goals for VEMS:
1. Enable wasted spark ignition (coil pack) or COP in the future
2. Full sequential injection, both on LPG and petrol.
3. Double maps/configuration so VEMS controls both petrol injectors and LPG injectors (bifuel)
4. Modified fuel maps for NOS (retarded ignition).
5. launch control based on VSS.
6. flat gear swifting based on clutch switch.
7. advance/retard ignition timings per cylinder...
I like VEMS very much, because it is based on AVR (Atmel mega series), as I'm using AVR for mine designed car alarm systems, engine piggybacks, etc, so I would like to contribute VEMS advancement at least in those directions/options that VEMS doesn't have for now, but I'd like it to have..
Also some advanced/intelligent configuration switching, like: When driving on LPG, and it passes 5krpm, VEMS automatically switch on petrol...
__________________________________________________________
I have Landi renzo full sequntal LPG kit installed, with 4 LPG fuel injectors, and Landi Renzo piggyback that connects to main EFI system (ECU) on injectors and prolongs fuel injection timings for LPG injectors. My main goal is to get rid off both stock ECU, and LPG piggyback, and replace it with unique EFI managment like VEMS!
So, the first steps would be to get a hold on that V3.3 and some wide band O2 sensor...
What do you think? ::)
BiFeul (LPG + petrol) and VEMS
Let's expand things about LPG...
It has MAP sensor on inlet, it also has MAP sensor on LPG rail (because LPG pressure isn't constant, and therefor you need to implement this in injector opening algorithm). So, it's like fuel with this element added, and also, it must have a little more advanced ignition...
So VEMS must be able to have 2 MAP-injection and MAP-ignition maps (one for petrol, one for LPG), totally independent one from the other, or better yet, to have complete 2 different configurations: one for petrol, one for LPG...
Is this possible? Will you upgrade to ATmega2561? Is there enough memory space? :D
4 outputs should be connected to petrol injectors and other 4 outputs to LPG injectors. It could be done with only 4 outputs, and one relay to change powering (+12V) and to petrol or LPG. But than I would have some delay in injection on fuel switching, but this must be done smoothly... Just like it is done now with LPG piggyback... So better option is 8 outputs (4 LPG, 4 petrol).
As I sad I have big knowledge about LPG injection, and AVR, so I would be interested in joining development team...
Wizard of NOS and VEMS:
Did anybody use this combination?
Wizard of NOS have ability to pulsate NOS actuators (PWM on 50Hz) to deliver power in percentage...
So VEMS would have to retard ignition as PWM reaches 100%... Also to cutoff PWM when rpm reaches limiter... And limit PWM below like 3.5krpm...
Is this possible? Did those software guy implement it already?
And what about more complex functions, like VSS (vehicle speed sensor), and limiting PWM when speed is below somethnig, etc...
BTW, I did NOS controller myself based on AT89C51AC2... ;)

Vehicle Speed Sensor and VEMS:
OK. VSS is a must for real idle system... Maybe not so accurate, but is car moving or not... Why do I say this? Because all cars have the system that rises idle rpm when the car is moving by 400rpm, and when it stops, it lower it to origin idle rpm...
Why is this important? Because of possibility that the engine would stall if you press the clutch on lets say 100km/h and rpm falls (forced induction of air in car movement)..
Also VSS is important to launch control, that would automatically turn on and turn off... Well, if the 2 triggering algorithms are problem, we could do this by simple daughter board that have another small AVR (like piggyback) that would inform VEMS of current vehicle speed over serial port or SPI, or something...
What do you think? This daughter board could also act as board computer, measure trip times, average consumption, current consumption, measure acceleration times, etc... I could do this daughter board myself... ;)
More about Idle algorithm and VEMS:
I was looking for this but I couldn't found it...
Newer cars with air conditioning compressor has 2 speed fans (low speed when A/C on, and for up to some temperature point, when high speed fans is powered up). Also A/C has MAP sensor for monitoring pressure inside the A/C system...
Also, when A/C is turned on, idle rpm must rise for about 200rpm... And it must turn off A/C on higher engine loads and when rpm passes like 4000rpm so it wouldn't destroy A/C compressor...
Has VEMS ability to control this? So you must have 2 stage cooling fan outputs like first stage on 94 degres and second stage (fast speed) on 97 degres of CTS... Also first speed fans speed must be on when A/C is on and car is standing still...
The reason for turning of A/C above 4000rpm is the power also... But the main reason is saving compressor... It could destroy something if the pressure in the A/C system rises to much on high rpms...
So, you think that this could be inserted in VEMS? It's not a problem to me to make another piggyback with AVR to controll fans speeds and A/C (as I got one now on C51 because motronic is moronic), but the point is to have ECU that would replace standard ECU, that controlls almost anything on newer cars (well if the daewoo lanos 2001 make is reference ;D :D )...
Motronic is not the best reference... It's pretty old... ;D It doesn't controll fan LOL, but it does have A/C in switch, that rise idle rpm as you turn on the A/C... But it doesn't have rpm switch... ::) :'(
Well, I could help development team to extend this... ::) When I get to that point... Of course... :D
Piggybacks, engine monitors and VEMS:
My question was:
Does VEMS spits all the time all the information on RS232 or you have to ask for the information?
Is the information in binary form or ascii form?
The answer:
No, you have to ask for information...
This means that you cannot have 2 monitoring devices attached... >:(
One would be carputer or laptop when megatune application is called, and the other would be some sort of engine monitoring piggyback like BC, monitoring engine cosumtion, state, etc, and displaying it on small LCD...
Is there a workaround? AVR has 2 RS232 ports... Could you make to use other port (or SPI) for connection to piggyback? Piggyback would inform VEMS about VSS and Launch, and VEMS would sendback rpm, injection time, retarding, knocking, etc... So it would finally become the most powerfull ECU that has it all... :D
This way it would get like engine consumptions (average and current), average speed, acceleration time in real time, engine monitoring, etc... As mentioned in daughter board section...
