ITS DEAD CONTINUED
- Disabled all the channels and retested with the mdhcommand.
- All the I259 channels are good 0v when off and 4.93v when on (using logic level trigger for coils with built in amplifier)
- All s259 channels seem good OFF .54V ON 11.63v
- All P259 very dead 0v all the time
- Tried to check the injecter fets but I have never been able to comprehend that table look up system, I only used 2 and have 8 in place so if 2 are dead, I dont care, I have the other 6 free.
- Tested wbo2, tested to ground mde 02 slowly but eventually gave me 4.93v at the pin closest to the ec36 connector, the other 2 were 0v. In relation to power, they were 11.67v when all said and done at the 2 furthest away from the ec36 and 1 shuts off with mde00, basically, that fet is ok and circuit working.
- Basically, I assume I need to visit the webshop and order that P259 chip, (and a new rescue kit for the one my kids murdered) anything else I should look for or test??
- We use multiple gnd5 pins, is it ok to use multiple gnd pins too or would that cause noise issues? Seems kind of delicate that 1 single wire could get chewed by a rat or break for some reason and destroy the ecu to the point of leaving you stranded. Would be nice to have a safety net.
- I am going to order a new P259 chip but how do I order a new rescue 2 kit also?

Tried to start the truck the other day
- MegaTune comm works ?

- no rpm signal. What about wheel_error ? (Switch LCD to page 01 with mlp01 and check if W.. increasing ?)

- no fuel pump activity (untill I hit the brake pedal, then it wouldnt shut off) nothing working as far as I could tell.
- Put the ecu on my test bench, all sensors readings look fine in megatune, I can upload firmware, everything looks ok untill I try and do an mdh command.
- make sure to disable the channels in config (MegaTune or mtt upload), since mdh.. can only control free outputs. mdh can not manipulate channels that are enabled in config and therefore reserved => controlled by the ECM.
- I noticed the fuel pump channel doesnt turn on. Tried some other channels, none of the P259 channels work at all

- grounded should be OK by default, but mdhb6 mdhc6 mdhd6 mdhe6 should switch them on.
- All this happened after I uploaded the 1.0.23 firmware. The truck was running before but it was barely able to stay running, and was gradually getting worse
- the same might happen if violating the basic rules 1..3. Look at the bold text at the very top of the paper (exactly one page shipped, the first 1/3 has the important warnings, mostly bold, the rest is the rescuekit partslist). If ground or GND5 is not connected (or maybe flyback), the ECM might be damaged. With bad ground wiring, the FET-drivers and TPIC6A259 (p259) chip are usually damaged (can be replaced with proper tools). Look for grounding on MembersPage/PhatBob/UserGuide or other related docs.
- that may be related to playing with some settings. I reloaded 1.0.18 again. I can load my config and tables everything no problem so I assume the firmware side of things is all in tact.
- I went out to the truck to check the wiring, found 1 wire ripped out of ecu, the EC36 pin 26 ground wire. Connect the EC36pin26 ground ASAP!
- Did already but have yet to hook up to that harness, test bench is a completely separate harness on its own
- Ground and GND5 (and flyback) are the most important wires to have connected all times when the ECM is powered.
- I know, should have been more cautious for the amount of times I have had the ecu in and out of the truck to try and fix my trigger problem, I should have watched for wires breaking.
