This is my toy project, aiming for 200 hp from this 1.3L engine
specs
- 1301cc engine
- 80.5mm bore and 63.5mm stroke
- approx 400 cc/min opel/vauxhall injectors
- T3 turbo from a volvo 740 turbo
- [picture], from the right is stock fiat RB5, followed by the T3, and the Garrett GT40 that will be installed in the volvo
- OMP sintered ceramic clutch disc with reinforced cover
- I [uninstalled] some unneccessary parts from the engine bay and behind dashboard, will be replaced with better stuff
- Of course will it be equipped with a Vems Genboard V3 unit for engine control, including WBO2, Advanced Antilag system, EGT and more
- Distributor ignition
More about the VEMS install issues:
- Water temp sensor
- seems to be in a usable range, maybe just replacing the bias resistor
- Air temp sensor
- Will use a simple webshop NTC resistor (approx 1 euro)
- Throttle Position Sensor
- Has to be replaced, maybe with volvo 850, or ford sensor
- MAP sensor
- a 400 kpa sensor will be installed inside the unit
- Trigger (2 VR sensors)
- Here it gets a bit tricky, there are 2 trigger wheels on the engine:
- crank pulley: 2 teeth, placed very close to TDC (adjustable a few degrees to any direction)
- Flywheel: [4 slots] milled into the flywheel, 2 at TDC and 2 at 90 deg BTDC
- The second Trigger of the Uno Turbo is the Starter Gear. It counts 122 Theeth per Revolution. Robert Offner
- Q: can this be hacked up to work using the auditrigger codebase or something? As both of the triggers are very hard to modify with my knowledge and tools.
- Answer: Yes it can, but it is probably not worth the investment in developing and testing, as these engines arent too usual. It is probably cheaper to make a new pulley
