BMW M106 engine...
- Primtrig=VR seems likely, but please measure (see below).
- sectrig=HALL and VR-HALL adapter at hand seems reasonable, just in case (so the set can be used with VR, HALL or VR, VR engines).
Will the engine have distributer ? If direct ignition, with custom sectrig cam-sensor, then sectrig HALL (homemade VR wheel is a "must-not").

Trigger setup
Measure for each (trigger) sensor: if you find 2 pins that measure same resistance in both directions (typically between 300..1400 Ohm), that is VR sensor. Otherwise HALL (or optical, but HALL input needed for that too, "eg.: very high frequency low capacitance value sectrig HALL is used for nissan-trigger).
