Trying to get VEMS to run in a plug and play fashion on a 1997 Seat Cordoba SX, with a 2.0-16V engine (engine code ABF). The sensors, actuators and required outputs are:
- Hall-effect type crank sensor on a 60-2 trigger wheel
- Hall-effect sensor on camshaft for sync
- Bosch coolant and air intake NTC temperature sensors
- Single dumb bosch coil triggered with external module, and with ECU controlled dwell (but swapping to waste-spark now so need 2 high current ignition drivers)
- Two bosch 3-wire knock sensors
- RPM signal from ECU to instrument cluster to drive tachometer
- 2-wire 4-ohm Bosch idle control valve
- currently 440cc highZ injectors, but hopefully the VEMS will be able to idle the new lowZ 720cc injectors without problems
- eventually the engine will experience up to 2 bar boost so 250kpa transducer inadequate
Extra I/O required:
- high current PWM driver for aquamist water injection high speed valve
- shiftlight
- IAT based output to drive intercooler spray solenoid
- Boost control using cosworth or Saab solenoid
- one EGT using k-type TC in exhaust manifold
- noritake VFD 4x20 LCD-pin-compatible display
- one wideband bosch LSU4 sensor
