Hello, my name is Axel Wall,
I live in Sweden, 18 years old.
I have now built a "new" engine to fit my Volvo 164E -72. The 3.0L engine will be Supercharged by an 4-53 Roots blower, and intercooled with an air/air intercooler from Volvo V70T5, I will weld two of these together later...
Some aditional info on the engine:
- Ported head. (by me.)
- About 8,5-9;1 CR.
- 1,2-1,4Bar boost pressure
- COP from BMW -99 (same as M3,M5...)
- Running on Ethanol (E85 85% alcohol, 15% gasoline)

Sensors and operational devices
- Crankshaft Speed/Angular Position Sensor (CS) -Ford EDIS VR-sensor, home made moltitooth 36-1. [The trigger wheel]
- MAP -MPX4250AP
- Coolant temperature sensor. (CLT) -Bosch D-Jetronic [R/t diagram] [THERMFACTOR_D-jet.INC]
- Inlet Air Temperature sensor (IAT) --Bosch D-Jetronic [R/t diagram] [AIRDENFACTOR_D-jet.INC] [MATFACTOR_D-jet.INC] I will use IAT from Volvo 740 TIC (Turbo) later.
- Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) -Standard Bosch item 0 280 122 001. 5 kOhm angular potentiometer, without idle and full throttle microswitch.
- Idle Air/Speed Control Valve (IAS) - 2 Paralell Bosch x xxx xxx xxx From Opel omega 2.0, PWM-solenoid. [Idle control valves]
- LSU4 WbO2
- Ignition Coils -6x Bremi 11860/ BMW 1 748 017 [COP_1] [COP_2]
- Injectors -12x Bosch 0 280 150 036 380cc@3 bar, connected in series of 2, ~5 Ohm/bank, the banks connected to one FET each --> fully seqential.

The crystal "Y2" has been ordered from ELFA, and soldered.
Connect V3.2 to PC and upload firmware. -VEMS.HEX uploaded using AVR-Studio.
Later...
Solder the R's, C's around the DS2480B 1-Wire Line Driver. -What values should I use? 220nF is the best between 5V and GND.
