For some reason my EGO never enables during driving. Uploaded a log for review.

Hello AnttiKo,

I have reviewed your vemslog: v3.3_u019109-2020.12.10-07.13.31.vemslog, the ego does not enable because the wideband circuit indicates the wideband sensor is not ready for use (meaning either heater or pump control is too far off target to be accurate). Status can be monitored via the isO2Ready Flag in VT, see: http://vems.hu/vt/help/v3/flags/iso2ready.html

To determine the root cause of the control problem, please proceed as follows:

I will review and get back to you with my findings

Just uploaded the new log v3.3_u019109-2020.12.18-13.13.59.zip

I also calibrated the sensor again. It was out of spec.

Test ran the car after the calibration, but the WBO ready flag did not light up.

Hello Antti,

I have reviewed your vemslog v3.3_u019109-2020.12.18-13.13.59.vemslog and spotted a problem, the heater control is railed at zero after pump activation; meaning somehow the wideband sensor is running too hot, while the ecu is trying to lower the temperature.

This could be either wiring or hardware failure. Please proceed with a quick ecu wideband circuit verification test using the steps from GenBoard/Manual/WideBandHardwareTest, most important part is the Verify Heater section.

Its important to verify that:

Please come back to me with your findings so i can help with narrowing down/locating the source of the problem

I found the fault. The cable is grounded all the time. Even when the ec18 cable is removed from the ecu. The error is in my harness.

The wideband sensor heating was always on and the sensor was overheating.

After fixing the harness the flag "WBO ready" lit up and the EGO started to work. Problem solved.

Thanks Dave!

Antti
