Trigger Setup
My plan for the trigger setup is like this:
- Primary trigger VR, 60-2 wheel on the crank pulley
- Doesn't this car have a auditrigger (starter gear, one pin for crankhome, and a hall sensor for home sensing?) from factory? Its very hard to make a proper multitooth triggerwheel. //Emil
- The motor would have a hall sensor for cam home if I would keep the ignition distributor, since I've removed it in favor of DIS I need to deal with this another way. The new motor isn't very "factory". I'm considering buying a multitooth wheel [here] unless I can find a place to laser/watercut it for cheaper.
- Im just telling you this to save yourself time and trouble, home made multitooth wheels doesn't work. The VEMS code cut spark and fuel when trigger errors are noticed, some systems, like prospark and haltech e6 doesnt warn you, it just blows your engine to pieces.
- Like I said, it's not gonna be homemade. And since the current motor doesn't have any VR sensors on it and the auditrigger system is extra complicated I won't save much time at all. There is no reason a well made 60-2 setup wouldn't work. Thank you for the advice though.

- Secondary trigger HALL
- Either a magnet on the back of the cam wheel and a HALL sensor on the head or
- A vane wheel and fork style sonsor on the back of the cam wheel
- Worst case I could use a modified distributor, but I'd rather not since I'm not gonna use it for the ignition anyway
- Turn yourself a new polished lid for it in aluminium, saves you a lot of trouble.
- It probably would if I had access to material. But since I don't I probably wouldn't save time here either.
