I am looking for a configuration for 3B engine or for the change that must be performed on the configuration attached below. What are the precise modifications for the conversion from motronic55 v3 vems from Audi ADU, ABY or AAN engine to 3B Audi engine.
I suppose this is only the ignition output that shall be only one channel rather than 5 channels for the ADU, ABY and AAN engine ?

- actually, the engine is almost the same but the harness differs (and the number of ign transformers of course)
- the 3B and AAN harness has several annoying differences (even where they should really be identical, like trigger inputs)
- if you kept the 3B harness, just want distributerless ignition with 3 channels (1, 2-5, 3-4 wasted spark) or 5 ignchannels, you don't need to "convert", just use the pins on the extra EC10 conn (or SSC6 in older models).
- you can find some related pinouts in http://vems.hu/download/v3/Motronic55/Audi/ , although useful for verification , it's not suitable for building or rebuilding a device
- if you really swapped harness from 3B to AAN, maybe it's best to sell the 3B ECU and purchase an AAN type (or an econoseal ECU and a v3*harness).

Thanks for your very detailled explanation, I am sorry for the bad interpretation, in fact I do not intend to modify the harness, I already have a 3B motronic55 vems ECU connected on the car. I was looking for the data change in vems.cfg using vemstune to convert a Audi 5 coils vems.cfg that I have to 1 coils for the 3B as it use only one output for the ignition and I did not know which one among the 8 ignitions output.
I had the information to set for the 5 ingnitions output the EC18 pin11.
Getting extra analogs
Do these to get 2 pcs. of 0-5V analog inputs.
- solder 2 wires to the bottom of the board like on this image:
- Remove the two resistor marked cyan and solder two 10kOhm resistor marked black on this image:
- The two resistors are the pullup resistors to the two analog input, so if remove them, the analog inputs are become only protected.
- wire EC18 pin 2 and pin 3, this way you can use analog in ch2 and ch5
