BMW Motronic 88 pin connectors have slight mechanical variations
Some minor mechanical mod to the connector (filing/grinding/milling) might be needed.
DETAILS ?
most simply did this in the garage with some compressor-driven pressurized air tool, but it would be best to do during manufacturing, in the CNC workshop.
- Any details for milling ?
- (or mech testing ? The electrical testing was completed with M50 connector)
Anyone has mot88 female cut from loom ?
- preferrably with 1 foot or longer wires; 0.4m is perfect
- or any condition ?
- especially female for the M52 version would be nice
- M52 has some minor (but annoying) changes Siemens probably made (requested from the connector manufacturer) to prevent accidental plug-in of incompatible pinout ECU
- see [car/engine M52] (car eg. from a European junkyard) could be candidates to find M52 female...
Mot88 male (PCB) connector available in Black and natural (~bone) color.
- Different frontplate needed, but theoretically they match same female
- Any recommendations ? Using black for M52 BMW is a good idea ? ** Or it does not matter ?
