Have just discovered the COP's I intend to use are active, MembersPage/TimEgan/Ignition but have 8 IGBT configured on the controller. Q: What is the best way to revert back to logic level signal? A: If you can solder, you could unsolder the IGBTs and route short wires instead. But, I don't have pic where exactly, so could someone chime in?
If you're not comfortable in soldering, then have it done by someone or send it back.PeepPaadam |
Have just discovered the COP's I intend to use are active, MembersPage/TimEgan/Ignition but have 8 IGBT configured on the controller.
Q: What is the best way to revert back to logic level signal? * best way is to use stepper outputs to control active cops. We found a VAG COP (the cheapest, most common VAG COP) that has too low input impedance, and outputs weaker spark if driven from i259 output. We don't know if other coils have the same. * If you can solder, you could unsolder the IGBTs and route short wires from 510 Ohm resistor (pin1) to output (pin2, that is middle pin). The GND pad that goes to the high-fill is left empty. ** adding an 270..510 Ohm piggyback on the top of the onboard 510 Ohm might help with the VAG COP. |
Thanks, I'm happy to unsolder the IGBTs and route short wires. Hopefully someone will post a pic or description. |
