Email: james at shadowflux-dawt-com ---- 13 Oct 2006: Current problem is premature rev limiter engagement at 6500 rpm instead of whatever max setting is. Not using soft rev limiter, min_crank_per set to 768 (9700rpm). I need more than 6500 rpm! Maybe related to rev limit malfunctioning: Realized that crank trigger settings were off quite a bit. tdc_after_trigger is only 30 degrees instead of the recommended 60. trigger_tooth is currently set to 7. Next test session I will change trigger_tooth to 4 and increase tdc_after_trigger to 60, then fine tune with strobing timing light. This is all after I fix the burst coolant hose of course =/ ---- 21 Oct 2006: Made above changes to settings. Engine started and revved okay, but I didn't have a chance to drive it because of the coolant hose. A new hose will be ordered this week. No hurry since racing season is over. ---- 7 May 2007: Decreased coil dwell time to 2.0ms. artificial rev limiter mentioned in 13 Oct 2006 update is gone. Installed and calibrated new wideband O2 sensor. Installed and calibrated EGT sensor in header at collector Installed GM temperature sensors and uploaded same firmware as before (1.0.45), but without patch for Bosch sensors. This gives more accurate readings than manually configured Bosch sensors. |

The suggestion "can you get snapshots (via TerminalProgram) of the wbo2 LCD page (the one with Ri:...). If the Ri or nernst target is not reached, ego correction might be disabled" was made on MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/EgoCorrection mde01 enables wideband O2 sensor parameter dump (mde02 enables wbo2 even with stopped engine, so mde03 does both). Lines like w=.... are emitted via the serial port: that is binary content. "wbo2log.pl" perl script should work capture and format it. Yes, it is still valid. Should run on either Linux or Windows. ---- Future Plans: * Add relay and switching gear to properly set up launch and shift control. * Add EGT sensor and hardware if necessary. * Change connector on endplate for common DB9 cable fitment. * Change over to standard GM IAT sensor for more accurate readings. * I'm sure I'll find something else to add here. ---- Notes: While browsing the net I came upon this thread about someone using 034EFI on their turbo VR6 VW Golf. The 034EFI setup looks very nice. The thread is located at: http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2470106&page=6 |

An AMP round mil-spec connector option would be nice for Genboard.
