Engine running, no trigger errors, occasional missfire, very rough idle, BUT
At 2500rpm it just cuts the fuel, or spark (could not establish whitch one) and just dies (does not respond to gas pedal at all. Today i upgraded it to 1.1.27 (dont know why) and started the config from the beginning, including the VE and Spark tables... Now it manages to reach 3700rpm and again just drop dead. [SOLVED] coil charging time was too long, shortened and engine now runs fine to the redline... |
Also i have issues with terminal communication, could not manage to get "normal" respond to mll command, just some unrecognizable raw data )}}}}}@@@@ etc... [SOLVED] seems that terminal commands are case sensitive :( |
After several hard pulls at spikeing pressures, new problem was found, in terms of a small wastegate :( it is a 38mm Turbosmart unit, that should hold 0.8bar but had several spikes at 1.6-7 bar and still haveing problems with misfire :) |
NEW problem, after some tests with running engine, map sensor reading started to act funny, it reads 11kpa and if gas peddal pushed it reads 247kpa at WOT.
Did we fry something or it is just playing dead again ? [solved] Alpha-N was active by mistake... |
Flashed with 1.0.73 final, uploaded default config and setted up again, with 2.5ms dwell and RUNNING :P |
i am going to try with another v3.3 board, and 1.0.73 :)

Test driver could not behave himself, and pushed it to the 2bar for several laps on Miseluk (track in Novi Sad) after a while head gasket blown, water everywhere, spark plugs destroyed etc. |
Test drive ended with fried exhaust manifold gasket. but after several repeated 300km/h runs... |
Engine opened waiting for new gasket and colder plugs. We were running on ngk pkr7a plugs now thinking about Denso IXU 24 or 27 |
New problem is that engine would not rev over 2500rpm when it crashes, with anything else than 1ms in dwell time :( dont know the answer for that since the coils are standard m3 cop-s that require a little longer dwell...
firmware is still 1.1.27beta4 ! |
But before all that new wastegate must be found and that could be a poblem in Serbia. We searched up and down, and found nothing bigger that 38mm.... If someone could help with acquiring some quality wastegate (Tial or turbosmart) please contact me on gumetina@sezampro.yu |
