Car Dodge Viper 10 cylindre ODD FIRE Could be Thorbjorn Engdahl that made this car. http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=MembersPage%2FThorbjornEngdahl%2FVIPER Can Vems control this car specially thinking of ignition. The car is running but do not sound well. also burned a engine early this year. Car is now running wasted spark Config http://www.vems.hu/files/MembersPage/PeterJensen/Viper/viper_v3.3_u011200-A-2018.10.26-16.49.23.vemscfg ---- Hello Peter, Yes Dodge Viper v10 is fully supported using the stock ignition system (which is indeed wasted spark). Best regards, Dave - can any body verify the config Peter did upload. the firing is not accurate on some cylinders! i think the ignition setup. Best regards Troels ---- Hello Peter/Troels, I have reviewed your config "viper_v3.3_u011200-A-2018.10.26-16.49.23.vemscfg" and there are indeed some ignition configuration problems there; To avoid any unneeded verification (or confusion) please apply the setup from configlet "Dodge_Viper_V10_10+4_Camsync". If you upgrade the firmware to 1.2.38 (latest stable), wire the coils as follows (also included in configlet txt): * ec36, pin 33 (10) = cyl 1 + 6 * ec36, pin 34 (20) = cyl 5 + 10 * ec36, pin 35 (00) = cyl 8 + 9 * ec36, pin 36 (30) = cyl 4 + 7 * ec36, pin 24 (60) = cyl 2 + 3 You'll have confirmed good starting point from which to continue. I hope this helps; if there are any further questions, feel free to ask. Best regards, Dave ---- http://www.vems.hu/files/PeterJensen/v10%20starts.vemscfg hi. now engine starts but only on some cylinders trigger angle is not the same as in the configlet. does any body know the trigger phasing cam vs crank? it fires 3times in a row one some cyl. best regards troels http://www.vems.hu/files/PeterJensen/20181119_150638111.jpg here is a picture of the coil charge on one cyl vs cam sensor sorry for the upside down view. ----- Hello Troels, I have reviewed "v10 starts.vemscfg", most importantly ignition output allocation; it '''does not match the settings''' from the configlet "Dodge_Viper_V10_10+4_Camsync" and will indeed lead to wrong ignition cycle. To resolve: * Please apply the configlet and do not make any further adjustments to the ignition output allocation. The Viper v10 config is a bit special with the two hidden entries. * After applying the configlet check ignition timing on all cylinders with strobe (best apply zero cyl separated spark delay by applying the "default" configlet there) and disconnect INJ fuse. * After correct ignition cycle has been confirmed on all cylinders, reapply configlet "Dodge_Viper_V10_10+4_Camsync" with the aim of restoring the cyl separated spark delay to original settings. * If anything is out of order, its easiest to swap the wires on ec36 and re-verify cycle with strobe. I hope this helps, if there are any problems please supply a trigerlog and small vemslog of engine cranking 8-10 seconds without IGN and INJ fuse so i can review.
