He is trying to get it running with a Volvo 5 cyl turbo engine. The box was sent to me for a slight upgrade, a change from Hall to VR primary trigger. Other than that I also replaced the power flyback board that was installed on this board with a bi-directional 30V TS diode. The diode was decided upon after consulting with Marcell as I normally would've used a uni-directional TS diode, but it should be ok - but still this is one of those things that is different about anything I've been involved in. He rebuilt the original harness and made a mistake : * +12V went to the original TPS and now was led into the TPS input channel * Bad wiring of the VR sensor Those two were both fixed and the engine started up fine. Shortly after startup the engine stopped running and three (3) injector FETs were constantly grounding. One could point to several things: * Flyback cable came loose (was very secure) * Poor grounding (done like in Phatbobs guide) * the "initial" +12 Volt fed to the ADC chip (mcp3208) can damage several other things, yes * TPS input channel (which has protection, than goes to processor, not to the ADC chip) should never receive +12V, but is unlikely to damage parts It was determined that only the FETs were damaged. Pelle Wållberg repaired the board and his guess is that there has been a bad connection in the +12 Volt feed to the board. The small TS diode on-board (16V) should've saved them but perhaps not.. The nut that held the +12 Volt cable at the main cut-off switch was only hand-tight, that's something to consider. ---- '''New projects under development''' Patrik Kärrman Audi 80 SV 2.3l/10v/5 cyl : \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/PatrikAudiEighty Willman Racing rally car, Mazda 323 4WD GT-R 1.6 litre 16 valve turbo: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/WillmanRallyMazda ---- '''Finished installation and on-going projects''' Oskar Nilssons Audi S4 : \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/OskarAudiSFour Micke Westerlunds BMW E30 with BMW M50 turbo engine: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/MickesBmw Micke Fredrikssons "Mride C42" with Suzuki GSX-R 1000 turbo engine: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/MrideCarForTwo Matti Juntunen Nissan 200SX/S13: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/MattisNissan Nicke Nymans Volvo 242 with a modified B21ET turbo engine: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/NickesVolvo Gustav Nilssons all wheel drive SAAB Quattro: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/SaabQuattro Jonas Olssons BMW 1602: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/BmwJonasMtenTurbo Stefans BMW E34 535 turbo: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/StefansBMWTurbo Magnus BMW E23 728 turbo: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/BmwSevenTwentyEight Another Magnus, Volvo PV with turbo engine: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/VolvoPV Leif Backlunds Audi 80 Quattro: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/AudiQuattro Albin Georgssons E21 BMW 323: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/AlbinBMW Gustav Sundbergs Super-7 (Westfield) with Opel C20XE N/A engine: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/GustavsWestfield Nicke Nymans E21 BMW with M20 turbo engine: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/NickesBMW Kristoffer Karlsson Volvo 142: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/VolvoBtwenty Eric Wiklunds Volvo 142: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/EricsVolvoTurbo Peter Johanssons E30 BMW with M20 turbo engine: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/PeppesBmw Peter Högdahls BMW 1602: \ MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/PeterBMW ---- '''My cars''' MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/BmwBavaria MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/BmwEthirtyIx ---- '''Finding solutions''' MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/EgoCorrection MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/LCD MembersPage/MattiasSandgren/IdleValveTuningGuide ---- '''General Wiki links''' MembersPage/HansK/LaunchControlAndShiftCut GenBoard/Manual/InitialTesting/VerThree GenBoard/Manual/ExhaustGasTemp ---- '''Development links''' IssueReports GenBoard/UnderDevelopment/FirmwareChanges GenBoard/UnderDevelopment/FirmwareChanges/TestingAndReleases GenBoard/UnderDevelopment/FirmwareChanges/LimpHome MembersPage/GaborRacz/NewAlsLaunchAndOthers BoostController BoostControllerAdvanced Optional: Add document to category: Wiki formatting: * is Bullet list ** Bullet list subentry ...
