I use a usb-serial cable, and a laptop with an AC adapter feed. I've checked and double checked the following things: *EC18pin14, 15 and ground. *Put a extra ground wire between laptop ground and chassisground. *9600 baud, 8 data bits, parity none, stop bits 1, handshake none. In both hardware settings and Terminal settings. *reversed the EC18pin 14 and 15. Result was that I didn't recieve the <0> message at power up any more. *GND5 connections *Power connection The LCD screen displays like it should.
