Visit Preferences to set your user name Summary of change: The car is an old Ford Fiesta with 650 kg starting weight, the motor is a 2.2 liters Ford Probe '''4 cylinder''' turbo engine. There was some confusing information about * '''next trigger tooth''' another_trigger_tooth=14 in the vemscfg... This (20 decimal) is terribly wrong for a 4 cyl, should be 30 (as in the 4cyl 60-2 configlet in primary trigger dialog) ** it was 30 all the time I was just trying the 6 cylinder setup => '''this page still points to bad vemscfg file. We want to review the vemscfg that you think correct.''' ---- The modifications in the engine ara 4 H conecting rods and custom pistons, the motor is now 4 cylinder an 2,4 liters, for the first run we are keeping the stock turbo an later we will upgrade. I have made the wiring harness but first the car wouldn't start because of no primary trigger signals. (RPM = 0). It turned out ECU was ordered with HALL input. After changing to correct VR hw setup, the engine started to work (see below). ---- '''Wiring - Outputs''' '''ignition''' ec36 pin 35 cylinder 1 ec36 pin 34 cylinder 2 ec36 pin 36 cylinder 3 ec36 pin 33 cylinder 4 '''injection''' ec36 pin 7 cylinder 1 ec36 pin 19 cylinder 2 ec36 pin 8 cylinder 3 ec36 pin 20 cylinder 4 ec36 pin 15 fuel pump relay '''Wiring - Inputs''' * ec36 pin 23 flyback * ec36 pin 1 tps middle * ec36 pin 14 coolant * ec36 pin 26 sensor ground * ec36 pin 27 primery trigger * ec36 pin 29 tps supply ---- '''Trigger details''' is it 60-2 ??? Yes it is!!! For VR always use '''rising edge''' setting (not falling). I tried both put it's almost working with rising * '''sensor resistance=502 ohm''' * '''DC volate = 360 mV''' (measured with ignition on) * optional: AC measurement I will make an osciloscope of my soundcard => GOOD ! * a triggerlog would be reasonable ** (use 1.1.81 or newer firmware to capture triggerlog) First is recognized it's a HALL sensor jumpering in the ECU (as the ECU was ordered) then I solved this problem by soldering the jumpers (... how exactly...?). But the missing trigger signal wasn't solved jet. SJ2 opened SJ6 closed. (This is '''OK from primary trigger VR''') We have changed the primary trigger wheel to another 60-2 tooth wheel but from a factory opel engine, now we have 230 rpm at cranking we will try to start the engine soon http://kepfeltoltes.sektor.hu/feltoltott_kepek/1286734795.jpg http://kepfeltoltes.sektor.hu/feltoltott_kepek/1286734811.jpg http://kepfeltoltes.sektor.hu/feltoltott_kepek/1286734826.jpg We '''finally started the engine. First time we had trigger errors but some adjustments in the trigger settings and the engine started to work.''' The gearbox is isn't finished jet so we couldn't go to a test ride. http://www.vems.hu/files/fiesta/datalog201010161415%20fiesta.xls http://www.vems.hu/files/fiesta/v3.3_n003132-2010.10.16-13.58.06%20fiesta.vemscfg http://www.vems.hu/files/fiesta/vems.jpg We don't have stable tigger signs I think because of the missing tooth but I can't figure out how to change of this. I rewired the VR sensor with shielded cable now i have trigger signs always but the ignition timing is still not correct. I checked all the settings and I will upload the knew setting. I also tried the new 1.1.82 but the same problem is on. I wanted to make trigger log but my vems tune didn't rekord anything (I tried before and it worked) I would return thanks for any help with this.
