Visit Preferences to set your user name Summary of change: Hi, i am thinking of Using the VEMS v3.x on my currently Stock Audi RS2. It has from the Factory an I5 2.2. liter Turbocharged engine (Engine Code-ADU). The stock ECU system is a Bosch Motronic. The car is an everyday car and want it to have a cultivated ride (when i am cruising with it or in the City). I want the Climate Control (Air Condition), Auto Check (it has also Trip Computer but i think it will not work with the VEMS). I would like to make the conversation this way so i must only change the less possible stuff to run on Vems (and also easy to go back to the Motronic system if the car will be sold). I would like that the VEMS will have the following options: -Full working Air condition (dont know if it is possible because i.E. when i unplug the Idle Valve connector the Climate Compressor is not running so i thing the Motronic interrupts in there) -Anti Lag -Switchable maps (for different Fuels-Conditions- Some say it is posible some say it is not posible on VEMS) -Boost Control (and fail safe-i.e. if the Motronic sees that it cannot control Boost the it switches the Boost valve and i only run with the safe Wastegated 0.5 Bar) -Still Use the Stock Ignition System -Use of Stock 2 Knock sensors -EGT closed Loop (soem people think that is not so good because it can raise the EGT too much) -EGT Ignition Retard and/or Boost Control so if the EGT is too high the System will take Care of it. -Intake Temperature Sensor ckeck so it could also retard timeing if the IAT will be too High. -Plug and Play Harness (Who made the Harness for the other Audi I5 engines?) -Water Injection -Staged Injection I know that the Safe-Safe option i would like are too many but i think these option are the ones that Holding many people away in installing Stand Alone Systems. The Car will also be Used from others that are not allways with their eyes on the Gauges. Something also Very nice would be that when we have th ecar running well with all the sensors etc to let the system Log the sensor inputs for lets say 10 minutes (with all king of driving-Full-part throttle and stop-go) and then have it save the sensor inputs. If it read other inputs than these it could log the Sensors as Defectige so if something dont work at one point as it should we could have some kind of Diagnosis. I have seen that some of you allready have the VEMS running on the Audi I5 so i think it is possible to Trigger the Timeing with the Hall sensor on the Camshaft pulley and the Engine Position Sensor on the Flywheel. My Question on you is: Are you Using the stock ABY-AAN-ADU ignition system-Coils-Stages? I think that my Buing list will be: -VEMS v3.x -4 Bar Map -Wide Band Sensor -EGT Sensor -Motronic Harness (If i find anything?) -iButton (How does it work?)
