Visit Preferences to set your user name Summary of change: Hi, I am trying to build my V3.3 board from a kit as I see it as a good way to learn a bit as I go. I have help from a very experienced "solderer", so that bit should go okay. Guess it will arrise some questions on here soon:) Update: As I am a total zero when it comes to this, I thought I would try to take pictures of how I think it should be, and post on here for confirmation, this could then be used as a step by step for real dummies like me afterwards. Thats the idea at least. A little bit about the project It is a heavy cammed 16V 1293 cc engine with individual TBs. The sensors I am going to have are -tps -inlet temp -map (internal) -wideband lambda -water temp -Vr crank -hall (cam) I have talked with some people, and they say that AlphaN is the way to go on this one, I agree now, after reading a bit about it. But anyway, I have made a few pictures with drawings on. On some of these I have some questions. First, topside of board between the two econoseal connectors. http://folk.ntnu.no/sathern/vems/topside_close_resized_greencircle.JPG I understand where the "barrel" and fuse should be. But in that green circle I have seen quite a few board with something installed here, Should I have something here? and what is it? Second, flyback. I have high Z injectors and plan to use a 30V diode in the flyback path. That means I should have the 30V diode where the line in the picture is right? http://folk.ntnu.no/sathern/vems/topside_resized_flyback.JPG Third http://folk.ntnu.no/sathern/vems/underside_resized_redcircle_blueline.JPG Also here (red circle) I have seen something installed on many boards? should I have something here? and why/why not? where the blue line is drawn, should I have something here? I have seen some manuals mention it, some dont. Fourth http://folk.ntnu.no/sathern/vems/trigger_resized_bluelines.JPG As I am going to have VR as primary (connected with econoseal connectors, as I have had no troubles doing this with a much lesser connector on the megajolt board currently in the car) this is the way to get the board ready for VR as primary and HALL as secondary right? (plus wire for secondary hall on underside of board) Also here is a picture of wires underneath the board this is for -PC connector (cyan) -no one wire interface (red) -MAP (yellow) -secondary hall (blue) -ground (brown) http://folk.ntnu.no/sathern/vems/underside_resized_wires.JPG This is right? Should the ground be connector to the outer side of the board like I have drawn? Thanks in Advance for ANY feedback! I hope this can help some dummies that come after me, and I hope that this will be an okay way for me to contribute a little bit to the community (eventhough you provide the answeres -) Optional: Add document to category: Wiki formatting: * is Bullet list ** Bullet list subentry ...
