Visit Preferences to set your user name Summary of change: Please help, Engine M20B25 with 12valve 885 head. Want to use 6 IGN coils. Can you help me please and tell which type is best for this head? Active or passive? What i need is: long life of coil, best possible spark energy and easy mounting (something which can be mounted on this head without big modifications) If somebody had experience with this setup, can you please tell me the Coil numbers? * [GergelyLezsak] My presonal preference: Bosch 2x3 wasted spark coils from GM/Opel. These are very close (or similar?) to the Bosch Motorsport ones, very powerful and reliable. Tested up to 100Hp/cyl, and can be sourced very cheap from Opel Omega MV6 at breakers. Probably similar power but a lot more bling factor can be done with 3 pieces of MSD wasted spark coils: http://www.mye28.com/viewtopic.php?t=68448. (New, good quality silicone HT cables are always recommended.) Otherwise, if you stick to have 6 coils, you can use the ones from M50/M52/M54 series like in this thread: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=153175 Logical driven coils from VW/Audi 1.8T and later TFSI engines are the strongest cheap possibility, but possibly harder to mount without custom made HT wires.
